🌟 CMP Wraps Up Another SYEP with Inspiring Success Stories 🌟
🎉 The CMP proudly concludes another successful year of the Summer Youth Employment Program (SYEP), in partnership with the New York City Department of Youth and Community Development (DYCD). This summer, CMP once again connected hundreds of motivated young New Yorkers (ages 16–24) with meaningful work experiences and valuable career exploration opportunities across the city. 💼✨
🤝 Through collaborations with a wide range of employers—from nonprofits and schools to local businesses, government offices, and hospitality organizations—participants gained hands-on experience, built professional skills, and grew in confidence and leadership. Many sites went above and beyond in mentoring their interns, fostering supportive environments that encouraged teamwork, communication, and personal growth. 🌱
Onsite Highlights
💪 Several employers even retained participants for permanent or future employment, a testament to the program’s success in preparing youth for the workforce. Supervisors across various worksites praised participants for their professionalism, initiative, and enthusiasm. Many youth not only completed their summer placements successfully but also discovered new passions and career directions along the way.🚀
❤️ This year’s stories reflect the true spirit of SYEP — empowering young people to unlock their potential while strengthening community partnerships. 🌇 Through initiatives like SYEP, CMP remains committed to fostering economic empowerment, workforce readiness, and opportunity for New York City’s youth — helping them take confident steps toward bright and independent futures. 🌻
