How to Build a Strong Legal Foundation

CMP, in partnership with the NYC Department of Small Business Services, Chinatown Partnership, and The Legal Aid Society, invites small business owners and entrepreneurs to join a free Chinese-language legal workshop focused on building a strong legal foundation for their businesses.

Starting a business is only the first step. After forming an LLC or corporation, business owners are often required to prepare important legal documents and comply with ongoing legal obligations. This workshop will help participants better understand the essential legal materials needed to support and protect their businesses.

Topics include:

  • Operating agreements

  • Corporate bylaws

  • Ownership and shareholder structures

  • Post-formation compliance requirements

  • Common legal issues faced by small businesses

Attorneys from The Legal Aid Society will also provide a Q&A and legal consultation session following the presentation.
