Programs and Services for Excluded Workers

The New York State Excluded Workers Fund was a $2.1 billion program to provide cash assistance to workers who have suffered income loss due to COVID but were ineligible for unemployment Insurance or related Federal programs due to their immigration status or other factors.

Although Excluded Workers Fund has exhausted, CMP will continue to partner with New York State Department of Labor to provide following programs and services to excluded workers and their families: 

• Assist with attaining Tax ID number

• Tax preparation assistance

• Financial Literacy workshop

• Loan assistance translation

• Digital literacy (basic Word, Excel, navigating Outlook, capabilities of a smart phone )

• Food assistance, referrals

• Healthcare programs assistance

• Translation and related services

• Vaccination information/assistant services
