Mental Health Awareness Workshop on October 18th, 2025
CMP, in partnership with the Rotary Club of Chinatown and cosponsored by The Pond, CPC, and Chinatown B.I.D., successfully hosted a Mental Health Awareness Workshop on Saturday, October 18, 2025.
The primary goal of this event was to bring people together to promote both mental and physical well-being. We were delighted to welcome a total of 79 people in attendance who joined us for this meaningful and inspiring session.
The workshop featured a variety of engaging activities. Experts guided participants through healing and breathing exercises, gentle body movements for relaxation, and open discussions introducing key mental health topics such as stigma, bullying, anxiety and its progression to depression, stress and personal safety, and depression.
Participants also received informational flyers with important resources, including the 988 Crisis Lifeline, and small items like stress balls to help manage difficult moments. A shared lunch created a warm and comfortable space for everyone to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another.

Today, many people face emotional challenges but often don’t know where to seek help—especially within the Asian community, where awareness and access to mental health support tend to be lower. Through this workshop, we hoped to raise awareness, encourage self-care, and remind everyone that taking care of our minds is just as important as caring for our bodies.
By promoting understanding and compassion, we aim to build a healthier community together.
