Celebrate Works by H.T. Chen and the Year of the Snake

H.T. Chen & Dancers will celebrate the 2025 Lunar New Year of the Snake 🐍 . Presenting two works by choreographer H.T. Chen at La MaMa ETC, where they were first presented in the early 1980’s and supported by our beloved Ellen Stewart.

The January 24-26 performances mark the first public NYC appearance of H.T. Chen & Dancers following the untimely passing of H.T. in 2022, and the calamitous 2020 fire in their Chinatown headquarters that destroyed the building in which they were housed. Now under the direction of Dian Dong, H.T. Chen & Dancers rises like a phoenix, quite literally from the ashes, to return to the stage and continue the legacy of H.T. Chen as a visionary choreographer and cultural ambassador.

📍LaMaMa ETC
66 East 4th St. New York, NY 10003

🗓️7pm on Friday January 24 & Saturday January 25
2pm on Sunday January 26

🎟️ Tickets in La MaMa
