Small Business Recovery Grant Application Workshop on 1/24
CMP BOC (Business Outreach Center) is actively assisting small and micro businesses, for-profit independent art and cultural organizations that have experienced economic hardship due to pandemic in applying for NYS COVID-19 Pandemic Small Business Recovery Grant Program. Economically and socially disadvantaged business owners, and those located in distressed communities, are strongly encouraged to apply.
If your business needs assistance on applications, attend our workshop on Jan. 24th, at 7-8 PM, to learn about the eligibility and documentation requirements of the program, and how CMP could assist you in applying for the grant.

2021 Small Business Bootcamp

CMP BOC is Back!
CMP BOC (Business Outreach Center), currently located at 123 Walker St., New York, NY 10013, has been partially re-opened on June 7th to provide small business owners in-person consulting services, technical assistance, and application assistance for COVID relief grant and loan programs.
The BOC office will open every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM. It will operate remotely every Tuesday and Thursday until further announcement.
Appointments and face masks are required in order to visit our office. To schedule an appointment, please call (212) 571- 1698.
CMP’s other services will continue to be delivered through phone and online platforms until further announcement.

Chinese American Small Business Impact & Recovery Survey Report
During the period of September 2020 through December 2020, CMP and the Rotary Club of Chinatown NYC conducted a mini survey of Chinese American businesses in New York City.
From the 66 responses we received, we learned about the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on them, and the support that they need towards recovery. Based on this survey and the numerous dialogues in which the Rotary Club of Chinatown NYC and CMP participated, we also compiled a list of recommendations to be shared with small business owners, community advocates, policy makers, the philanthropic sector, and concerned individuals.

Train and Retain Your Employees
The NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS) launched the Customized Training Grant Program to help NYC-based businesses train and retain their employees. It’s a reimbursable training grant for businesses that are for-profit, operating for at least one year, and able to pay for training upfront.
Businesses identify a problem(s) they are facing and select the training(s) that will help them solve for this problem(s). SBS will reimburse up to 60% of the total training costs in one or more of the following areas:
Training on recently purchased equipment or software
Training to offer new services/products to reach new markets
Training to give current staff new skills to advance into hard-to-fill positions
Training to update obsolete skills that are necessary for the business to be competitive
